Asanas (Yoga Postures) / Pranayams (Breathing Practice)

Here, students will learn how to get deeper to the asana practice using the correct knowledge of yoga postures. Every yoga pose has its importance, benefits and science behind. In these yoga classes students will not only focus on the physical practice but also get help with opening towards the balance of the physical and mental bodies. In this class, students will not only learn how to do asanas but also how to maintain the physical bodies while engaging themselves in a yoga posture. This will give them an understanding of precautionary moves in their advance practice. Regardless of practitioners’ level of experience, this training will shape both, advanced and begginer yogis equally. We can not deny the fact, which is over and over explained in the various yogic texts, that activation of energy is actually commanded by breath. Pranayama class will help you to develop awareness of your breathing. Prana is a vital force in our body, which makes us active and gives us stability and health. Yoga students will learn various traditional methods of breathing. Pranayama practices will increase your health and deepen the practice of yoga.


Shat means six and Karma means action. These practices consist of a six groups of purification methods. In a very simple way, this can be understood as internal purification by cleansing the waste that is stuck in the body and can cause several malfunctions in bodies. In the practice of Hatha-Yoga, shatkarmas are aiming to create harmony between the two measure pranic flows, ida (moon nadi), the left .nostril and pingala (sun nadi), the right nostril. This harmony hepls to attain physical and mental purification. The Sanskrit word mudra is translated as “gesture” or “attitude”. Mudras can be described as psychic, emotional, devotional and aesthetic gesture or attitude. In this specific part of the program, the yoga students will learn different Mudras that are part of the yoga tradition. Students will experience mudras as attitudes of energy flow, intended to link individual pranic force with universal force. A mudra may involve the whole body in a combination of asana, pranayama, bandha and visualization techniques or it may be a simple and hand position. In Yoga Teacher Training some mudras will be introduced to the students to give them a better strength in their practices.


The Sanskrit word bandhas means to hold, to tighten or to lock. This definition describes the physical action involved in the bandha practice and their effect on the pranic body. Aim of bandhas is to lock the prana, in a particular area and redirect it’s purpose to spiritual awakening. Bandhas should be practiced and mastered individually and then they can be beneficially incorporated with mudra and pranayama practices. As part of our 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training practitioners will learn different bandhas, so that they will be able to incorporate them into their asana and pranayamas practices. There are four locks :-Jalandhara bandha (throat lock), Mola bandha (premium contraction / root lock), Uddiyana bandha (abdominal lock), Maha Bandha (great lock ). These practices are used before pranayama and other higher practices in order to purify the body of toxins and to ensure safe and successful progression on yoga path.

This session is very important and useful for the students as in this session students will mainly learn Qualities of a good teacher, multiple teaching styles, basic principle of demonstration, observation skills, making correction in postures commanding instructions and learning business aspects of teaching yoga.

Learning Objective

The main objective of this session is that after completion of the TTC programmer all students will be trained to teach with accurate instructions and with proper sequence as well. This will also help students to give healthy and safe classes.

Anatomy &Physiology

In the following session there will be an introduction of the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body and explanation of the various systems of the human body. Relation of five elements (Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth) and their existence in the formation of the body. Explanation of the functioning of sensory organs (Eyes, Nose, Ears, Skin and Tongue), action organs (Hands, Legs, Mouth, Genitals and Anus) and importance of their control in our yogic practices. Focusing the importance of strength of cells and tissues in the formation and regulation of human life. Introduction of Nervous System, Endocrine System, Muscular-skeletal System, Cardio-respiratory System, Digestive System, Excretory System and Immune System and their incorporation with yogic practices. In this session relation of the human systems and the spiritual anatomy like chakras, nadis, panchprana, panchkoshas, etc,.is also an important focus to make it more useful for the students to deepen the practices. So an introduction of spiritual anatomy and the relation with the scientific anatomy will be there.

Learning Objective

After the completion of the course it will be very easy for the students to apply all the techniques and aspects of the yogic practices to their bodies and to make feel others about their bodies. Overall after this session it will be easier for the students to incorporate their physical and mental energies.

Yoga Philosophy

The philosophy class/ covers the brief history about the origin of yoga and the founder of yoga as well. Covering the yogic life style and health are the other important associative subjects of this session to make students fully accept the yogic practices. Besides these this session will also focus on the vedic knowledge which covers Ashtanga Yoga (PatanjaliYog Sutras), Chakras, Samkhya Philosophy (three types of pains), Hatha YogPradipika (Hatha Yoga Rules), Mudras, Bandhas, Nad Yoga, Karma Yoga in Bhagwad Gita, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga. Devotion towards the Gurus and discipline in Yoga are also the essential teachings in this session to build devotion in the trainees. One of the subjects is also teach the Yoga Philosophy to the trainees according to its relation with Indian and Western Philosophy as well.

This is one of the most important sessions for the trainees because it is first giving knowledge about the correct origin and about foundation of yoga so that they can easily understand its ethical values. Secondly building of a proper lifestyle as a yogi is also very important for the trainees because as one enters in the field of yoga it becomes mandatory to have a proper path. In this session having knowledge about different types of yoga will also help the trainees to increase their concentration towards the right path to attain light. Finally this will make the trainees to create discipline and dedication in their lives towards their practices which will make towards the perfection in their actions and will surely help them to become successful teachers.


This session is particularly the part of this course to make sure that the students can get the best out of this training. As our focus is to prepare the quality teachers, this session will include the trainers to apply theirs practices as teachers. Students will use this particular time in their course as training as lead trainers which will increase their confidence to teach and they can work to furnish their personalities as a complete yoga teacher. Every teacher has a specific style of making one's class structured so this will be helpful for a particular student to explore their inner enthusiasm as a teacher and different skills they can develop in sequencing their classes with enough adaption according to the level of experience and ability.
